It is rare to see something so true of form that it's inception is unattached to anything else than it's creation. Katie Paterson is an artist who dedicates her artwork to the art itself, leaving herself aside and the completion of the artwork forming after she has long since died. In her most recent work "Future Library" 1,000 saplings were planted this year, in 2014, and in 100 years these saplings will be transformed into books and a library to house them. Each year until its creation an author will be selected to create a new text for this project. Nestled within Norway a forest is growing a "Future Library."
